Out of District Students

Students who live outside of Alameda are also encouraged to apply to Alameda Science and Technology Institute. Any parent, guardian, or student interested can transfer to ASTI by going through these steps:

1) Apply and be accepted to ASTI
2) Go to the home school district's central office and request an interdistrict transfer
3) If this does not go through, parents/guardians/students should remind their district officials that ASTI is an Early College High School, which is a program not offered by their district.
4) If denied, submit an appeal to the Alameda County Office of Education for determination.
