Extracurricular and Leadership Opportunities

ASTI also provides many leadership and extracurricular opportunities for students who are looking for experiences outside of coursework.  We have a strong student government and leadership class that organizes regular student events and has founded a number of student clubs and organizations. Our PTSA, SSC, clubs and even some lunchtime courses are all student led.  ASTI students also create their own opportunities! Any ASTI student can form an organization or step into one of the many leadership opportunities we have available.

ASTI also features magnificent diversity in addition to the small, close-knit relationships. At ASTI, everyone is welcome, and well represented in a rich, multi-cultural, diverse environment. ASTI has native and fluent multi-lingual speakers of Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Italian, Hindi, Toishan, Shanghainese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Tagalog, Farsi, German, Russian, Danish, Tahgrinya, Fukien, and more. Many students and teachers speak other languages and many have families of mixed heritage. ASTI places a tremendous value on the diversity of opportunities we offer and the diversity of the community we share.
